Shotcode Technical Information
The SHOTCODE is a round 2D barcode that is developed specifically to be read with a mobile phone. The user needs to download a reader on their mobile phone and then he can scan the codes wherever they are.
To download the reader on your mobile phone simply point you mobile to m.shotcode.com for your free ShotCode reader. Once downloaded please visit our demo page to test it out! Over 300 mobile handsets are supported.
All devices have differing quality lenses thus allowing for different size ShotCodes to be scanned correctly. ShotCodes should be at least 3,5 centimeters in diameter in order to be compatible across the board.
The content of the code is a web link that connects directly to a mobile webpage. All kinds of contents could be included and offered – a ring tone for downloading, the subscription of an online game, a webshop, information about ingredients of the product etc.
